The project was launched in 2009, had the goal to create an artificial reef to protect the Manchones Reef area, and help the marine life restoration in the Cancun and Isla Mujeres area.
The Cancun Underwater Museum has 3 main areas, one in the Puerto Juarez area, one in Punta Nizuc and the main set is between Cancun and Isla Mujeres, here is where we do our activities since is the one with the largest number of statues and variety of marine life
